Designer (f/m/x)

When working with us, your tasks will include

  • Creating innovative and strategic user-centric designs for a broad range of interesting projects and clients.
  • Defining and prioritizing use cases together with stakeholders and deriving effective user journeys and flows from them.
  • Creating visual languages, data visualizations, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate ideas.
  • Developing, establishing and promoting design guidelines, systems and consistent experiences across the Studio's work.
  • Defining and prioritizing features into product roadmaps and communicating them to stakeholders.

These are some of the skills that will be useful for these tasks

  • Degree or comparable qualification in a relevant design field.
  • Strong sense for a progressive and suitable visual design solution.
  • Systematic thinking with a strong interest in new technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in crafting successful digital interfaces and experiences.
  • Visually lead projects from high level concept to the nitty-gritty detail.
  • Strong communication skills in English, German is a plus.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination of tasks in small agile teams
  • Excellent Sketch skills.
  • The ability to prototype experiences in ES6 JavaScript, CSS/JSS, Processing, Unity is a plus.
  • The ability to prototype experiences physically, incl. hardware such as Arduino, is a plus.

Design Technologist (f/m/x)

When working with us, your tasks will include

  • Creating high-level design concepts from prototypes and explorations and effectively communicating them to stakeholders.
  • Researching new technologies and their potential for ongoing and future projects.
  • Exploring and evaluating briefings and ideas through prototyping. This involves: Exploring datasets in Jupyter (using mostly Python) to discover the potential for visualizations and interactive experiences and facilitating such explorations with data scientists.
  • Creating technical setups that support and enable good design by focusing on lean development and agility.
  • Full-stack development in React, ES6 JavaScript, Python, Django, Postgres.
  • Working with cloud providers such as AWS, Digital Ocean or Google Cloud to deliver projects to users.

These are some of the skills that will be useful for these tasks

  • Degree or comparable qualification in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in creating digital products and experiences.
  • Proven experience delivering working software in multiple languages and using various technologies.

    ES6 JavaScript, React: Familiarity with Material UI and working with component based architectures/design systems is a plus.
  • Python: Basic understanding of the language incl. various libraries for data wrangling and analytics. Interest and basic understanding of Django is a plus. Interest and basic understanding of machine learning is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in English, German is a plus.
  • Experience working with relational databases, especially Postgres.
  • Sketching and prototyping with pen and paper, experience with software such as Sketch, Invision or others is a plus.
  • Be comfortable wotking with Git and Github.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud or other providers is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Docker Compose is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems and automation tools such as Ansible is a plus.
